Help if you know Babylon please!
Hi everyone-
DH and I LOVE the location of Babylon and are looking for a house in the village to raise a family (I am pregnant).
We dont know much about the area though. We see a house on Cadman Ave near Beverly Road for sale. Is this a good area? I know it is in the village, but I dont want to be too close to a different/bad area. Please be totally honest.

I live one town over, in West Islip, and go to Babylon Village several times a week to shop, eat, go to the gym, etc. As far as I know, Babylon Village is uniformly safe and a good area. The school district is tiny and has an excellent reputation.

We looked a bit in Babylon several years ago and I agree there really are no bad areas of Babylon. Just be careful about how close to the train station you are. Who wants to hear that noise? Babylon's a busy line also so trains run frequently.

My brother lives a couple blocks from there. He just expanded his house so he's not leaving anytime soon (must like the neighborhood). It's walking distance to the grade school and middle school. Cadman is a through street from Sunrise Hwy to Park Ave. so sometimes it can get busy (not like living on a double yellow line street, but busier than a regular residential street).
