Smoke Detector Help Please!

Are there any less sensitive smoke detectors out there? We recently moved into a coop and the minute I started using the oven, the smoke detector went off....nothing was burning and was only in the oven for five minutes. I have tried opening the windows (which are right next to the oven) and that did not help either. I have resorted to taking the friggin thing down and putting it in my bedroom by the window. The darn thing is so sensitive that it friggin went off the other night (even with being in the bedroom). We have a newborn and I dont feel safe NOT having one, but at the same time I cant have the darn thing going off every time I turn the oven on either. We are in a 2 bedroom coop and there is really no where else to put the smoke detector that would be far enough away from the kitchen.

Does anyone have any solutions?

LOL I had the same issue in my co-op. Can you get a fan? Or just pop the battery in and out when you use the oven?

SOrry I wish I had better suggestions! This is coming from the girl with NO smoke detectors!
