Re: daycare

i looked int o tutor time and loved the set up but its $$. It was only full time ( i mean you could do three days but still have to pay for 5) while they are an infant anyway. It was about 1250 plus if you do early or late dropoff/pickups its an additional amount.

Re: daycare

The tutor time near me lets you pay for 3 days (but it is not much less than 5 days).

Re: daycare

My center has both 2 days, 3 days or 5 days....

And also offer a half day, core day, or full day....

For 5 full days its 279/week... and the price goes down from there...

My friend brings her son to Tutor Time and pays about $1100 for 5 days.

We we will do a few days and hoping my MIL will watch a few days.

Re: daycare

Honestly, if I had to worry about daycare, I'd probably hire a nanny and make-sure I had back-up if that person couldn't make it. It's just so over-the-top expensive to put a baby in daycare.
My friend at work is putting her 10 week old son in Kiddie Academy for 5 days a week and I almost died when she told me how much money it's going to cost. Her monthly salary is going completely to childcare. She said if she didn't need the health insurance at our job, she'd quit and stay home, but her husband has no health insurance at his job. Re: daycare

I went to a daycare open house here in jersey at BRU and the average MONTHLY (not weekly!) cost for an infant, 5 days a week (full time) was $1,100 - $1,300. Many of the centers seemed really great, and I feel much more at ease about putting my 6-month old into a center. I'll be visiting some of the centers over the summer to see what they're like and to ask questions. I'll also be calling some parents for references. I feel more comfortable with a reputable center than a nanny, personally.
