Does DH come to your first appointment

OK, my first appointment is next week and I will be 7w2d. I already asked DH to come, but now I'm wondering if he needs to be there. Can I expect an ultra-sound or is too early? Did your DH come to your first appointment?

My 1st appointment was at 8 weeks and I had a sonogram. DH did come. Good luck!

since DH can't really take that much time off from work, he only really comes to the ultrasound appointments (call and find out if that is what is in store for you, i did not have one the first appointment).

it may be helpful for him to be there when they go over family history, i know i forgot to mention a thing or two when asked about his side, but honestly, if he was there i don't know if he would have been any better help

Yep. my DH came to my first appt. for each one of my kids. I got an internal sono and we were able to see the bean and heart the heartbeat. My OB then sat us in his office and told me do's and don't's, gave us literature, goody bags and answered any questions we may have had.

Well my first visit was supposed to be a regular checkup with the gyno but it turned out I was pregnant already and I didn't know it.

Since then DH has been to every appointment except for last night because he is a teacher and it was parent teacher night.

My appointments are always in the evening so that's why it's easier for DH to come.

My first appt was not a sonogram - it was an emergency check-up. I had some bleeding. DH came to that appt. Actually DH has been to every one of my appts and he says he would never miss one.

My DH says he learns alot from each appt.

My DH came and we got to hear the heartbeat at 7w.

I'm going for my first appt and first u/s at 5 1/2 weeks. My DH is coming!

FH came with me to my first app however I sort of wish he didn't. It was a little uncomfortable because they did the routine internal exams and no sonogram. Then of course, he didn't come to the 2nd and they did do the sono. So I guess its better to be safe than sorry. My FH really only comes to the sonograms since I go to most of my app. during the day.

My DH came to my first appt and to every sonogram. We loved listening to our angel's heartbeat.

DH came with me to my first two appointments including the first sonogram.

My DH came to the first appointment and now comes to every sonogram appointment. He loves seeing our babies grow from one visit to the next!

My DH came with me to every appointment until about 20 weeks when I had my Level II. After that, the appts are boring, no need for him to be there. He wants to start coming again soon when my internals start again so just in case the dr sends me to the hospital when the end is close.

For my first pregnancy, DH was there for practically every single appointment, but now he stays home and watches Christopher while I go. He's going to be there for the big ultrascreen though.

DH came to mine- but it wasn't very exciting. We didn't have the sonogram then- just an internal exam and lots of blood was taken. Then the doctor met with us to go over the things I should know.

dh has come to everyone of my appts. it helps to have him there for family history

Yes he did. My first appt was an internal sonogram where we could see the heart beat.

eta. I would call your ob/gyn & see what they do on the first appt. Then decide from there.

In my first pregnancy, DH came to every appointment..... HE was just as excited as me.

This time aroundd, he's been to 1 or 2 Then again, he does stay with our son Andrew, so at least he is being helpful

Mine did not. I don't think he will be coming to any of them

It is hard for him to get off of work.

I had a sono at 7 weeks 5 days and DH came. he has been great - he has come to every single appt Ive had so far and I am 28 weeks!

DH came and I'm glad he did it. I had an internal sonogram and lots of questions regarding both of us.

dh didn't make it to the first appointment and since i was new to my ob.gyn i knew it owuld be a little long and "intrusive" (pap smear, etc...) so instead I made a sep appointment for my sonogram the following week so dh could experience it with me...the dr. was great and totall understanding and accomodating!
