hardwood floors
I am wondering what the average price would be to refinish hardwood floors for about 500 sq ft, which would include about 10 steps?

We had about 500-600 sq ft done (no stairs) and it was $1200 including stain

just FYI
prices will vary depending on the number of coats and what type of material you use to coat (stain, waterbase, etc.)

Oh I see, the previous owner picked my floors, so they are this whitish color which I heard will be more expensive to correct since it's like a bleach

I would start calling around to get quotes. Sounds like it will be hard to ballpark it until someone actually sees it and can price it.
