Well our doggie Stella starts out the nite in the cage (her house as we call it). If we're not in bed by 10 she goes into the bedroom and into her cage by herself. But by 430-530 shes barking and wants out and into the bed.
If I don't let her in the bed she will be spiteful and leave a "present" on the floor

We just got our dog and I am very happy that she does not go on furniture or beds. It's bad enough that I have to share my bed with DH! Haha!

nope!
They sleep either in their beds or crates and we let them out in the morning.
