symptom or side effect?
not sure if this is a PG symptom (im on CD26, not sure on the DPO) or just a side effect of first cycle off BCP...
but i was at work this morning and i hadnt eaten any breakfast other than coffee (thats normal for me though). all the sudden i got this crazy hot flash and my blood pressure shot up and i thought i was gonna fall out of the chair and pass out. unfortunately i was in a meeting at the time and i just continued the conversation and eventually felt my blood pressure calm down. i felt weird all morning until i ate a fruit cup and then felt normal for the rest of the day.
the only other times things like that have ever happened to me were freshman year of college i was kinda hypoglycemic (although in retrospect i think it was just stress) and would have similar symptoms until i ate something sugary. ironically when i changed BCP pills (or became better adjusted) it disappeared.
about two weeks ago DH called me fairly frantically about a medical issue and i had a similar feeling. my blood pressure shot up like it never had before and i actually saw spots. but as soon as i calmed myself i felt better. he just scared the crap out of me. but i doubt i could have even been PG at that point it was like CD11.
any thoughts?? the one today was weird it felt like i had a super anxiety attack but nothing was wrong..

i have had those - it's like a mini panic attack. it's scary but i honestly doubt it has anything to do with being PG. it's more likely stress related.

Have you had any bloodwork done recently? One of my friends was having similar issues and it ended up she had hyperthyroidism.

i havent had bloodwork done recently. i was hypoglycemic a few years back and i think it might be the same thing now cause i also have that symptom that when i stand up (esp from my chair at work which i keep fairly low) i get a bit lightheaded. i have been dieting fairly successfully so im prob just not eating enough sugar or something.
thanks though cause hyperthyroidism and hypoglycemia have similar symptoms which reminded me to look up more info on both,

I agree. I get these a lot and sometimes for no reason at all. If it keeps happening, obviously you know your body better then anyone so def. have it checked out but seems to me like nerves.
Hope you feel better!!

I'm hypoglycemic and that sounds like the "episodes" I have when my sugar is too low. Just to be on the safe side always have some candy/juice boxes with you in case this happens again. It's a stinky feeling!

Re: symptom or side effect?
Personally if I drink coffee on an empty stomach I find this happening to me due to the caffiene? It could be that?

yeah it could def be that too it was just weird cause it never happened and i literally drink coffee every morning on an empty stomach. so it was odd that one random day it would just have a super weird side effect.
i am sure it was all of the things everyone here has posted combined. ive just been eating a tad more sugar at small increments the last few days and havent had it happen again so hopefully thats that!

Re: symptom or side effect?
I would definitely get yourself checked out by your doctor. Especially since you have a history. But on a positive note, I have experienced hot flashes while PG. Not sure about the blood pressure though. Not trying to make you crazy.

Re: symptom or side effect?
It sounds like a mini panic attack to me. I have had high BP and low and if it happens during a time of stress or when I feel out of control...I know its a panic attack. I was chalking it up to not eating but it also happens when I have eaten and get stressed.
I think its a sign of life..LETTING you know your alive in a weird weird way.
