A dining room set that is similar to this one ???? The one in the pic is from Raymour & Flanigan but the table scratches sooooooo easily ...
We are looking for something in a darker type finish ( mahoghany, espresso, dark cherry)

That actually not a bad idea ...We had thought about a table pad, but then you don't see the table...Glass might be an option...I'll have to run it by DH and see if he thinks it would hold up with the kiddies....Thanks for the idea !

Re: In your furniture travels...has anyone seen ...
we use a table pad when we use the DR table and when it's not in use we take the table pad off to show the table....but the glass would def. work if you wanted to table to be seen all of the time!

I think that is pretty close to my dining room table. CHairs are different though. Check out the brand Poundex. Thats where mine is from and they might have my table with leather chairs. Pics of mine in album.

This is the dining set that I am in LOVE with. We don't have it yet but now that you mentioned that it scratches easily, I'm not so sure we should get it.
My cousin has a similar one from JC Penney's but it doesn't have leather seats...

Very nice !!!!!
Yeah, looks wise the one we want is gorgeous...But as soon as you run a fingernail on it, bad bad scratches...the floor model was a disaster from everyone doing the same thing I guess

Re: In your furniture travels...has anyone seen ...
Well we went to Ashley today ...We were much more happy with their quality and actually ended up with something slightly different than what we originally wanted but we still are really happy with it ...Both the table and chairs are so well made and we ended up getting a great deal because they sold us the display !!!!
Here she is
Thank you for recommending Ashley ! Nice selection !!!

I was going to suggest Ashley too! We looked at that table from Raymour and had the same concern. Congrats on finding a table you like!

I couldn't believe what a world of difference the quality was ! Ashley actually did have a very similar table to the one we had our eye on, but the finish was a bit "too" dark ( almost black)...I still love the one at Raymour , but I know that if we want longevity, this one is much much better...Its just funny because it really isn't even a similar style, but I like it

Re: In your furniture travels...has anyone seen ...
My china closet is similar. I got it at Fortunoff but there is a website, google Canadel. You can pick leather seats or any fabric and I got a really nice espresso color. Canadel is a Canadian co. that just makes dining sets I think so you can prob order it from another authorized dealer in LI.
