How should I handle this
If your mother, step mother , mil or step mil offered to watch your DC full time( if you wanted to go back to work) but you don't want them to bc you don't trust their ability to take good care of your DC full time, for MANY valid reasons. How would you approach this and politely decline their offer? I feel awful , I love this person but there are just too many things that go wrong while she watches DC just for couple of hrs and I really don't feel comfortable leaving my DC with her full time.
TIA

Re: How should I handle this
That's a tough one. Can you just say 'no' you've already set up and paid for daycare/nanny arrangements?
That way, you don't need to explain your reason.
I know exactly how you feel since a relative of mine could also watch DS for me but she has very different and outdated parenting skills so I'm still debating that...

Re: How should I handle this
My SIL told both her mom and her MIL that she wanted "grandma to be grandma"...and that explanation was sufficient....Otherwise maybe you could go the route that you would like DC to be with other children for socialization but could they please be back-ups for you .....
