We're going to start trying very soon....

...but I have no idea what I need to do to get started. What questions to ask my Dr.... How we need to go about doing this...

It might seem pretty easy to figure out, but after lurking on this board for so long it looks so much more complicated.

First of all, congrats and lots of baby dust to you!!

First, I called my gyno and family doc and said that we were going to TTC. I had a checkup with my gyno, and got genetic screening bloodwork done (the gyno gave me the paperwork to bring to the lab). I also had a well check up exam with my family doc (they took blood too and checked my thyroid, and other levels - basically what they would normally do at a yearly exam). I waited for the results to make sure everything came back okay.

I also tried to eat healthier and started taking Expectra (DHA supplement). I take a reular multi vitamin too (that has folic acid) - many girls start on pre natals when TTC, but my gyno said regular vitamins are fine as long as they have folic acid. So, you can do either.

And then - have fun TTC!

Catzmeow - I will definitely schedule some appts. and blood tests with my doctors as we get closer to when we want to officially start TTC.
