Did it work to start your period back on a normal cycle? If not, how long to you have to wait to take provera again?

Re: For those of you who have taken provera...
Doc had me take Provera to bring back my period and then started me on Clomid. Im assuming he will put me back on Provera again for the second cycle of Clomid since it was to be on specific days

Not for me. I have heard of it working to "jumpstart" people after coming off BCP.
I took Clomid after my Provera period and when Clomid didn't make me ovulate, I was put right back on Provera. Obviously if I had O'd on Clomid (and didn't get pg that cycle) I would have gotten AF.

I don't think Provera works to regulate you at all. All it does is put hormones into you for a few days and then take them away. You body needs to do that itself for subsequent cycles, so if your hormone levels are oof- AF won't come and you will have to start it again.

I took Provera back in Nov and ever since then, I have had a period evey month on my own. Before Provera, I was getting periods about 4 times a year. For me, it helped to jump start my period.
