For those whose husbands had SA...

I have an appt at Stony brook hospital to drop off my husbands "sample"... My question is, does he have to be there?? He has softball practice at that time. I figured I could just drop it off... Is that a problem?

I would definitely call ahead of time. I have heard stories of girls having to have their hubbys repeat the test because they didn't drop the sample off themselves.

Many times they need to show ID, so definitely call first.

the first time i dropped it off while DH stayed in the car. the 2nd time, he was forced to b/c it had to be brought it at 7am and he did it on his way to work.

i think with most places as long as whatever forms are filled out you can certainly drop it off (within the lab's drop off time limits.)

I had to show ID when I dropped my DH sample off at the REs office. He waited in the car. The baby that he is lol.

Im glad my DH is not the only one being a baby about it. I refuses to change his practice time...he says he can't, I say he's being a baby..lol
