No. Not at all.
If it was my friend and it was something I did to put them back in jail, I would do something. Whether it's start a letter writing campaign, or petition somebody. I would do whatever I could. I'm sorry you're hurting, but this friend is back in jail, and that is just horrible. Especially since they did nothing to deserve it.

There are a lot of lawyers on here, maybe someone would be willing to listen to your story and advise you on what you can do to help your friend? Like I said on the previous page, I'd feel really bad if I were you, too, and I wouldn't be able to just let me friend sit in jail without at least trying to get him out, ya know?

i wonder if some people's responses to this thread would be different if they knew this was a regular poster in hiding.
to the OP - i am also extremely confused, and i am sorry you feel bad, but i agree with the PPs that said you need to at least try and do something. even if it means going to your local Legal Aid Bureau and seeing if they can recommend an attorney that will do pro-bono work.

This doesn't make any sense at all. I want to say i'm sorry for what you're going through but it had to be something shady in order for it to be bad enough for him to go back to prison over it.

none of us knows why her friend was in prison in the first place. conditions of parole sometimes vary from person to person depending on what their original conviction was for. so it is totally possible that what the OP "signed up" for was perfectly legal, but not "okay" for her friend to be involved with - and neither of them may have had any idea about that until it was too late.
so while i agree that the post is confusing, i think all she is looking for is some support and a place to vent, and that's something we ALL need sometimes.
