So... it's official
after two different internal sonos, four different blood tests, and seven hours in the emergency room... my pregnancy was ruled to be ectopic.
I had betas done on Thursday and my number was 320, then on Saturday it dropped to 198, but on Monday morning it rose back up to 256 and then to 205 by 530pm Monday. So that was a roller coaster... So my doctor called for another internal sono... The radiologist took forever to determine what was going on since it looked like I had THREE ovaries with the size of the embryo.
BUT! Here's the kicker... it wasn't in the tubes, nor in/on the ovaries... but rather - BEHIND MY UTERUS implanted right there.
One question though:
If your doctor told you to go to the emergency room (to the hospital he's affiliated with) ASAP because it's "life threatening", would you expect him to come to the hospital at some point to follow up on his orders???
I arrived at the ER at 345 and wasn't seen until 530... not too much of an emergency I guess.
And to top it all off - I didn't get my shot of methotrexate until 11pm...

to answer your question, yes. I think I'd be annoyed that my doc said it was life threatening but then it took that long to get your shot.
Why did he tell you to go to a specific hospital if he wasn't going to follow up? That's just weird.

I'm so sorry - that must have been so, sooo scary I hope that you feel better soon
I think that it's horrible that you had to wait that long when your situation was potentially life threatening!! How do you feel about your doc otherwise?

i'm so sorry you had to go through that...my friend had an ectopic pregnancy a few years ago and we took her to the hospital (she didn't know she was pregnant) and it took HOURS for them to see her...so your not alone with that
