Does anyone ever feel (DH related)

I love my husband to death, and he is such a wonderful man, but I just dont think he gets what it is like for me during the TTC journey. Im waiting for cycle 6 to end, and I am getting really down. He is trying to be supportive and tell me not to worry, it will happen when it happens, we aren't really "trying" until spring....

Well, when we decided it was time to throw caution to the wind and "see what happens", I feel we were semi-trying. I have used OPK's but my cycles are so wacky since coming off BCP.

Im just really down this month. I regret ever taking the BCP... I feel by six months my cycles should be getting better, not worse. I know DH is trying to be supportive, but I just dont feel he understands what it feels like to wonder about O'ing, reading into every sign.

He thinks when I relax it will happen. Is it possible to relax when TTC???

Thanks for letting me vent Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone ever feel (DH related)

I had the exact same issue with my DH at the beginning. I discussed it- via email- with a very close friend of mine and she responded with such an amazing email, I had to share it with DH. Once I did that, then he started to come around. I guess hearing from an "outsider" makes all the difference.

Your body is still trying to adjust without the meds. I would give it a couple of more months. My dr explained that after coming off the pill (this was 6 years ago) my body would seem "normal" immediately following the last pack because there is still a 'trace' amount of hormones in you, but then after a few months, my body would struggle to function without the meds.. Make sense? I dont know how true it is, but I definitely went through the same thing! Chat Icon

Did your cycles eventually become regular?? If so, how long?? My first two cycles off came in 32/33 days... Then I didnt get my period of 2 months (progestrone induced). The next cycle was 28 days now this one is up to 34 with neg HPTs...

I know he means well...

my DH was the same way. he always thought i was negative nelly and he is just so positive. I knew it would happen, but didnt know what road we would need to take to get there. He kept saying it would and i should just think positively. Sometimes thats alot harder to do.

men have no idea what its like to live with our bodies every day. I always felt like my body was fighting me and its just so frustrating and such a downer.

It took me almost a year to get regular off the pill. I was fine the first 3 months actually and then they went to hell. Some people its quick, but not for me. I dont think im going back on it either down the road. i'll take my chances.

I've been off the pill since June - my cycles are really irregular. I basically alternate between 30-ish day cycles and 2 month cycles. It's been very frustrating - I feel your pain!
