Hey ladies...advice please

Hey girls...i've posted twice on here before and you guys have helped me out both times. I've been on bc for 8 years...When i was put on bc i was 18 and it was assumed i may have had pcos. I never did have a sonogram though, i was just symptomatic. I came off my bc at the end of december when i found out i have pnumonia. I just couldnt take anymore meds...in other words, for the first few days i forgot. Dh and i arent TTC but we are not necessarily trying to prevent it. My question...i am due for my period on Saturday. I am not symptomatic whatsover that i am getting it. I will test on Saturday to be sure im not pg. If the test is negative, and i do not get my period how long should i wait before i contact my gyno? I once had to take provera to jump start a period. Im just not sure how long is the okay time frame to wait before calling. TIA

ETA: someone told me i should be on folic acid or prenatals even if we are not actively ttc....just incase. Should i be taking either?

a good pre-natal has folic acid in it so you wouldnt need to take it separate
if you are taking a reg. multivitamin then you could take extra FC

i would wait about 5days to a week, then call the dr.

thanks ladies...i really hope it's a bfp or that i get it. I am hoping they prematurely assumed i had pcos back then. I am afraid to go thru what my sis went thru...took her 8 years to get preg.
