what is a chemical pregnancy
I am a little embarassed (did I spell that right?) to ask, but what exactly is a chemical pregnancy?

From my understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) a chemical pregnancy is usually an early pregnancy where your hormone levels would indicate that you are pregnant, but nothing comes of it (the blastocyst does not implant).
Remember, I can be completely wrong, but that is what I think it is.

A chemical pregnancy is a VERY early miscarriage.
Basically, you can have a positive pregnancy test (faint) and then hCG levels that don't increase over time.
It's called "chemical" because pregnancy isn't considered clinical until confirmed by ultrasound.
