tilted uterus
I was told years ago that my uterus is "retro-verted". From what i read its fairly common and should not impede conception.
However, my coworker said hers was the same and thats why she did the IUI. (Her son is now 13). SO im wondering..if this really could be an issue. She said they told her she would not conceive with a tilted uterus.
MY old GYN always said it should not be a problem.
thoughts??

Re: titled uterus
I was told ages ago--in fact, at my very first gyn. visit--that I had a tilted uterus. I've conceived 3x with no problem!

Re: tilted uterus
I have just found out I have a tilted uterus. You would think with having 2 other children I would have know.
No I don't think it should be a problem. My sono tech said that is a an old wives tale. With DS it wasn't planned. DD was 1st month of trying and with this one we were talking about trying...I said yes and my DH was on the fence and least I thought. He said he did decide...lol. Now we are due in August with #3 trying in the first month.
Good Luck!!!!!

Re: tilted uterus
I was told once during a routine exam by my GYN.. Never again was it mentioned. I was worried if that would impede/interfere with the TTC process- but never thought to ask (duh). Good to know that there's people out there that have conceived on their own

Re: tilted uterus
mine is too, but my doc doesn't think it'll be an issue TTC. Some are tilted forward, some back. As long as it's within the normal range, you're ok.

just a little more pulling and cramping when it strightens it self out as your uterus grown during the pregancy.

My GYN did say once that it may make for a harder labor

I feel alot better now that so many people have this and everything worked out!

If it makes you feel better. Tilted. 2 kids no problem conceiving & the easiest labors possible (no pain med either).
Best of luck

Re: tilted uterus
I'll join the club too! Mine is tilted too and so far I've had no real probs with actually conceiving, although the doc that "discovered" it did tell me that it might make for a more difficult delivery (like yours did)

Same story here, except I went for the pain meds...first labor was 9 hours total, second labor was 4 hours total...both were "good" enough that we talked about the next baby before we left the hospital!
