one day we were laying in bed and saying how much we love our little family (me and DH lol) and then he said that he was hoping it would've been bigger by now. so from that point, we decided that we wanted to take one last vacation just the 2 of us before starting the TTC process. so as soon as we got back from vacay we started officially!

my DH just said... forget waiting.. lets start now!! it was a financial issue for us since i would be a SAHM .. but we would make it work... so happy we started earlier than later!!

he never really flat out SAID it until it happened, if that makes sense...but he kept hinting at it ...like when we were watching TV and a pregnant woman would be on, or when we see babies he'll say things like "i want one...how bout we make one tonight" or the other day i asked him to get me something from the fridge and he told me i should get up and do it b/c pretty soon he will be doing it for the whole 9 months while i am pregnant

Thanks ladies for your responses, and keep them coming!!
DH has been commenting lately while we're out shopping and we pass baby related things (baby strollers .... baby clothes......... diaper bags... etc.) ......... So it's making me think that actively trying to TTC is starting to enter his mind  We do talk about it, but I don't want to pressure him.

He flat out told me he wanted a baby. He would also rub my belly and say "Oh, I feel the baby kicking" and I'd tell him there wasn't a baby in there and he'd say "Let's change that."

We have been talking about it for over 1 year. We planned a date that I would stop BCP and then we would try 2 months after that. As the time got closer he got more and more excited and into the idea.

We started talking about when we would start TTC around the time of our 1 year anniversary. We planned a date that I would stop BCP and then we would try 2 months after that. but then i decided to go off BCP sooner than later and he was fine w/that. so for now i'm charting and letting him know when i'm about to O and we just don't BD those days. our plan assuming our financial positions doesn't chage to is to start TTC in the spring/early summer of this year.

If he is commenting on baby things, I think he's got it on his mind.
Not something men usually notice in a store.
DH made the comment, "lets go make a baby" a few times when he wanted some. After a few times I questioned him and he told me he wanted a baby. I almost fell over.

Kinda disturbing but, we were on our honeymoon and while we were at dinner discussing our New Year's Resolutions he told me his three:
1. Lose weight
2. Learn how to cook, and (and this is the disturbing - yet hysterical part...)
3. Plant my seed in you... 
But, hey - he brought it up... I've been ready since before the wedding - but I wouldn't bring it up until he was ready...
Gotta love the men and their choice of words!

He has always said he wanted kids but never gave me a when. He too loved commenting on babies and things like that when we were out and about.
I think we both just sort of grew into being ready at the same time.
We both had to let the idea marinate for a while but now we are both totally on the same page and on the baby making train (hopefully the express one at that)!
