Have you ladies made it a point to know all OB's in your practice?

I just started seeing a new OB ... but since wayyy down the line when I give birth, I am not guaranteed that he will be on call, etc.

Have you ladies made it a point to meet the other doctors in the practice and find out some info on them? How important is this? Just curious

When I was pg, I tried to see as many docs as I could in the practice, this way I had a good chance of knowing the doc on call when I went in to labor. Turns out I wound being induced, so I had a meeting with the doc in the office before I went over to the hospital.

I think it's all a matter of personal preference on if you feel you need to see every doctor in the practice.

Most practices that have multiple OBs will have you rotate once you get pregnant. Before then, I really don't think it's necessary, unless of course you prefer to meet them all prior to getting pregnant.

Nope, Dr B is amazing and I've known him so long that I know his principles and know he will only work with certain Dr's, so I trust in his opinion.

When the baby is coming out it doesn't matter who is there, as long as they help get it out of me!!!

My office had 5 when I was pregnant with DS and you were required to have at least one appointment with each dr during pregnancy so that you had met everyone.
