OK...a little confused

I am going to be ordering the mattress soon for the crib. I am thinking I also need a mattress cover, a mattress pad, a mattress pad cover, obviously sheets, sheet savers. Am I missing anything?

Also, how many of each would you recommend I buy? For ex, the sheet savers? I am thinking maybe 3? Can you tell I like to be well prepared? Chat Icon I can get a little nutty with this stuff. TIA

Re: OK...a little confused

i just have the mattress, a few sheets and an ultimate crib sheet. i never even should have gotten the sheets. in 5 months i've never changed them because i just wash the UCS. you don't need a mattress pad or a mattress pad cover. i don't even know what those are Chat Icon

having 2 UCS would be nice. any more than that IMO isn't necessary unless you don't have easy access to a washer/dryer.

I have two mattress pads (in case one gets wet and is in the wash) - it makes the mattress a little cozier IMO.

I have a ton of sheets.

I have the ultimate crib sheet but I've never used.

Re: OK...a little confused

We put both mattress pads covers on the crib at the same time. First the cover, then a sheet, then another cover, then another sheet.

That way, if the bed gets wet at 3am, it only takes a few seconds to take off the wet sheet and cover, and you still have a clean sheet and cover underneath it. Otherwise, you have to take off the wet stuff, then dig through the dresser to get the clean items, and put both the cover and the sheet back on the mattress...... all while still mostly asleep....

I have a mattress cover, the sheet and sheet saver on top.

I have the following. But I wash more often.
Mattress covers: 2
Sheets: 4
Sheet savers: 2
