Well its official... 30 weeks and on bedrest!
I cant believe this is happening im soo upset because this isnt how i planned for it all to happen. I know that I am doing what is best for the baby and for myself but I just fear our financial situation when the baby comes now and how I wanted to spend so much time home with him then. I feel like such a failure because so many girls I work with were able to work right up to their delivery date. Breif summary as to why im out.. As most of you know i have what they call pubic symphsis (the pelvic bones are seperating) causing excruciating amount of pain to the point they dont think i can even delivery vaginally (another reason im so upset) and my cardiologist says my heart rate is consistently at 130 and 140s when walking or doing any light activity. So with three doctors recommending i come out i guess i have to stop denying it and follow what they order. Thanks for your support and letting me vent.

 Sorry I know financially it can be stressfull but you are doing what is best for you and your little girl, so keep that in mind!! The baby and you come first!! Its hard but you guys will get through it!

FAILURE ?? Who cares what 'other women' have been 'ablel to do ??
It's not like you begged your Dr to write you a disability note b/c you're lazy and you just didn't want to be bothered - I have worked w/ women who don't lift a freakin finger for 40 weeks as soon as they get their BFP - it's like "Oh wait on me hand and foot, I'm PREGNANT so I can't do anything for myself' 
I know it's not your ideal situation, but in the long run it will work out to be what's best for you and baby .....don't beat yourself up over it. -

I am on bed rest too. You are not a failure, you are doing what is best for your baby. Do not compare yourself to others.
DO you have short term disability through work? This is what I am using now. I get 4 weeks full pay and then after that it will be 2/3 pay. I will still get my maternity leave after the babies are born.

I am stopping work a few MONTHS before I give birth. Working has just been too much and I don't want to get to a point where I am so unhealthy.....it is scary financially, but there are more important things than money. I know the feeling of failure though, feeling like so many people work through their pregnancy. But I just can't do it and stay healthy.
You need to do what is right for you and your baby. Period. No one will remember if you stopped working at 30 weeks, 35 weeks or 40 weeks. But if you or your baby have health problems from work, you will definitely remember that.

You are not a failure for going on bedrest!! I'm 27 weeks and find out Monday if I'm officially on bedrest...and though it stinks to think of the lack of paychecks and how early it is, I know it would be what's safest for the baby.

You're not a failure. Every pregnancy is different. I had planned on working until the end, but I was placed on bedrest 1 month before my due date. Bedrest sucks, but you're doing what's best for you and your baby. I hope the next few months go by quickly.

I had a separarted pubis symphsis but it occurred immediately after delivery. 2 years later and I still remember that pain vividly it was awful, made labor seem like a breeze. You need all the rest you can get, you don't want to deal with this pain while taking care of a newborn

you shouldn't blame yourself-- it is nothing you did. Trust that the docs know what's best for you and your baby-- and you don't have that much longer to go!

look at it this way...none of your coworkers suffered what you're going through, don't think that you're a failure. everything you're doing is in your baby's best interest. if you were to do something else, then you'd be a "failure". try to remain positive! you've got 10 weeks left! woo hoo!
