My beloved Piglet is now in heaven
I barely post on this board because I feel like it's more for dogs and cats, but I loved my little guy.
He just passed away in my arms. He has been sick for about a week, but I kept thinking he'd pull through. Suddenly he took a turn for the worse and died.
He was just one month shy of his 8th birthday. I got him when he was just 6 weeks old. He was such a little guy, but a big pig when eating. Hence the name Piglet.
I want him to be buried with our other birds upstate. Am I allowed to ship him? I know this is such an odd question, but I've been thinking about it for a while, since he getting up in age.
Thanks for reading this. I hope he finds his friends in heaven. Rest in Peace Piglet. Mommy loves you.
He was very protective of me when DS came along. He didn't understand breastfeeding at first.
They became friends.

awwwww I'm so sorry. It doesn't matter that he wasn't a dog or a cat--it's so easy to get attached to your pets because they truly are members of the family.
I'm glad you were with him when he passed away.

I am so sorry for your loss! The loss of any pet is devastating, as he was part of your family. He knows how much his momma loved him...he was a very lucky little guy!

oh kelly i am so sorry. my mother had a parakeet named bjorn that she loved dearly, i remember how upset she was when he passed away. they are such great little pets.

I've had birds since I was 5 so I know how attached we all get to these little guys. My last parakeet lived to be almost nine. It's so sad that once they get sick because they usually pass away so quickly. RIP
