BD is like a chore...
Before we started TTC, DH and I BD'd once or twice a week. Now, once I get my smiley, obviously we BD more (every day or every other day). It is torture. I know that sounds terrible, but it really is. It's more like a chore and we clearly don't enjoy it bc we "have to do it." I got my smiley on Friday so we BD'd Thurs (because we actually wanted to for a change), Fri, Sat. I tried yesterday and we had a fight over it bc he wanted to watch football. I tried to tell him that we have such a small window to get preg and he tries to be understanding, but it's still frustrating for him (and me).
Anyone else feel this way?

We try to keep it fun and relaxed, but I know what you mean, last night I got really mad at DH because he fell asleep on the couch and couldn't or wouldn't get up to BD.(and I got my + for ovulation yesterday) He made up for it this morning though.

Re: BD is like a chore...
dont owrry i feel really demanding on my dh too. thats why we didnt bd the day my cm was the cleariest. so i think i missd my chance, try next time not to make his aware of u o'ing and make it all about him and his "pleasure" hopefully that will make him want to bd that is what im trying next month so he doenst know he has to try n get me prego its a lot of stress. best of luck remmber 85% of women conceive in the first year so if a few months dont work u have a good chacne that one month will stick

The same thing happens to us!!! I sometimes feel it's such a chore, I'm not really interested, which definitely doesn;t help DH be interested.

Happens to the best of us!
Hang in there!
Remember, the day of your +OPK and the next day are the two best days to BD.. so if you can BD for 2 days.. pick those and your chances are still great!

I feel the same exact way...I never put so much thought into it before but now it seems like it is such a thoughtout process and I hate it..I am trying to keep it fun and relaxed but it gets to you.

Re: BD is like a chore...
My DH doesn't mind at all but I found the first month to be a chore as well. Now I am doing the famous Deanna 's plan, so every otherday is better then the ever day for three strait weeks, except for the day's I ovulate .

Re: BD is like a chore...
I totally agree with you. It used to bother us alot being that it was timed and so not natural. DH can't do everyday. Sperm quantity goes down quite a bit. So we do every other day beginning after CD11. I O around CD-16/17.

There is absolutely no way we could ever do Deanna's plan. We would be divorced before a month ended.

Re: BD is like a chore...
it's funny I was watching the movie "She's having a baby" last night the wife was screaming for the husband because her temperature was right....he was in the basement pretending to fix the water heater
in the end sometimes it feels like a chore sometimes not

some months we enjoy it and sometimes, it's work. I will tell you that our DH's can feel as much pressure as we do. I learned that telling DH it's time, odesn't work fo us. But if I were to walk into the room in a nightie, he would have a different frame of mind
You have to do what works for both of you! It will happen, good luck!
