Ovulation Kits
Hi Ladies- Totally new to this site. I met with my OB tonight and she suggested that I start testing with an ovulation test each month. She suggested buying them in bulk. What brands do you recommend? Are they expensive?? In a perfect world I would love to be preggo in Aug/Sept but we all know how that works!
Sorry I am not using the lingo.. I promise to be up to speed soon!!
TIA???!!!!

Re: Ovulation Kits
Well when it comes to OPK (ovulation predictor kits) you can get ones that have lines and digital ones.
A lot of the girls here like the digital because you either get a circle or a smiley face, pretty straight forward. The ones with lines can be a little confusing.
The digitals run anywhere from $28-$40 and the ones with lines range from $12-$23ish (i think) depending on where you get them and they come with 7 sticks. The digitals come with sticks you place into the 'holder' and you eject the sticks once your done with you reading.
I first bought Targets brand of OPK's but hated trying to read the lines so I bought the Clear blue easy digital ones and had no problem getting my smiley.

I hope your stay is short!
The months I used OPKs I just bought the Walgreens brand.

Re: Ovulation Kits
hi there & welcome to the boards! I sincerely hope your stay is short & sweet!
As for OPK's - i always liked the Target brand. They aren't digital, but they are reliable and not terribly expensive.

Welcome to the board!
Unfortunately, I have no advice about buying in bulk...I don't use one every month, so I haven't bought them more than 3x. However, I have had success with the Clear Blue Easy digital OPK (it's the one that gives you a smiley face when you're about to O). I used it both of the cycles that I got my bfps. Good luck to you!

Re: Ovulation Kits
i ordered from earlypregnancytests.com. i started with the first repsonse opk's but they got pricey. ordering in bulk online is cheaper plus they have packages that include pregnancy tests so it makes it even more worth it. if you do a google search for opk's you will find the website.
