why do I always feel like I'm one step behind?

So I was all excited to start Bding last night (day 10) but Djh was sick so it didn't happen. I didn't think too much of it, but then I got a positive OPK this morning. We had sex this morning and we will every day for the next 3 days. But I can't help feeling like I'm always one step behind my cycles. My first month of TTc was 37 days, the next was 26 days, and this one is looking to be 24 days. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon This is so frustrating.

If you don't mind my asking... why are you testing with OPKs in the morning?

You probably would have gotten a +OPK last night, so you are probably Oing today or tomorrow.

I would BD today, tomorrow, and then next day - and then you should be fine.

Did you have signs of O? EWCM or anything?

I test in the morning because it's unrealistic for me to test in the afternoon. I don't think there's any time during the day that I go 4 hours without peeing, especially after my morning coffee. I don't really get a lot of CM, but I did have some light cramping this morning. It was actually before I took the OPK and I thought "that's odd that I feel like I'm oing already" and sure enough I was/will be.

if you cannot test in the afternoon - then you need to invest in a clear blue easy fertility monitor.

the OPK tests are MADE to be used in the afternoon. The hormone that you are testing for BUILDS int he body during the day....that is the point of testing between 2 & 8 pm....

i'm sorry.... Chat Icon

Okay.

So just so you know... usually by testing in the morning you'll only get 1 day of +OPK - and you will miss the beginning of your surge which was likely the night before your morning +OPK.

So if you are following Deanna's plan, you will miss your first BD day.

I would BD today, tomorrow, and the following day.

Re: why do I always feel like I'm one step behind?

I have alwasy taken them in the am, even when I conceived DS. Last month I got postive OPKs two mornings in a row. We Bd this morning, should we try again tonight too? I will try to do a hold and test again later today and tomorrow too.
