When I am out and see something I like, or if I feel I need something. If I have a lot of expenses one month I just try to steer away from the stores...much easier done in Atlanta than in NYC!!

About twice a year in the spring/fall for the next season. In between I only purchase if I need something for a specific event - never "just because."
Same here. Never just because. I am a power-shopper. In and out.

me too.
i own a lot of basic that mix and match well, so when i see one interesting piece (a la the eggplant tweed jacket i just picked up), i grab it. I also don't spend more than $50 on an item of clothing unless it's for an occasion (like a dress for a wedding). Most of my clothing is actually under $30 per piece. I do the majority of my shopping at NY&Co, GAP, old navy, and kohls. Only sale items, and only with a coupon.
