girls with curly hair please help...
what product works best for you to control frizz and keep your curls nice WITHOUT that "wet look" ?
also do you have a shampoo you can recommend to help as well.
Thanks in advance

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I would love to hear the answer as I have yet to find these miracle products!!! As of now I've found some leave-in conditioners that work well to keep my hair curly but not wet looking, but still not ideal and I still get some frizz...

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I've been using the Wen Hair Care cleansing conditioner (the almond mint one), along with Garnier smooting milk and Phyto hair relaxing balm...then I sometimes add a touch of voumizer if I want "big" hair

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
Everyone's curls are different, so you really have to play around until you find what works for you -
I have used everything from cheap crap to the most expensive shampoo money can buy -
For me, Pantene is awesome as far as shampoo/conditioners go - I use the one for curly or dry hair (it's basically the same thing)
I use a leave in conditioner (right now it's Garnier b/c my sister gets it for me for free .......) I use Pantene's sommthing creme as well as their anti frizz serum -
And then, I use the best gel on the face of the planet - NEXUS ExtraGel.
I have been using it since HS, it is the best thing for my hair -

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I use sunsilk leave in anti-frizz conditioner, it's in a green bottle, under $4
and loreal Mega Gel, from the Studio Line-----also under $4.
I've been using the Loreal gel since HS and it just works for me.

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I use frizz ease and then Aveda.
I tried bed head but it made my hair crispy. I hate that. I like soft curls.
For shampoo and conditioner I use the ones for color treated hair.

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I recently stuggled with this as well. My hair is so long, planning to donate, and NOTHING was working *Arrojo's line* *Tigi-curls rock* *Samy-curls define &extend creme* nor *Paul Mitchelle's line*
I used to be curly by aveda, but even that no longer works . I just purchased @ CVS Marc Anthony's strictly curls I'm in once again. My hair is not sticky, crunchy, or stiff . G/L

If you try the Deva line, get the trial sizes first - It's $$$$$ and I think it makes my hair gross -
Some people swear by it, but I found that I HAD to wash my hair every single day w/ those products and it drove me nuts - Normally I can sleep on my curls for a few days and they still look awesome, sometimes even better than when I first wash it - But w/ those products I had a filmy residue on my hair ........

i second both these product lines... my hair is very curly but also fine, these gels/products give it great curl and don't make my hair crispy, especially when i use a diffuser, plus they don't weigh down my curls.

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I use Deeva Curl No-Poo shampoo. It doesn't lather so it is a little weird to get used to - but it cleans without stripping and it smells great. Sometimes I skip shampoo and use a Rosemary mint conditioner that I picked up in Mohonk.
For everyday use, I will use John Frieda Frizz Ease (heavy duty) on my wet hair. Then I use a bit of Rusk curl sculpting gel (looks like paste!) as a frizz free base. I add a mousse by Nexxus - I think it is called Curl something - if I plan to blow dry.
Fredrick Fekkai has a great curling conditioner.. but my hair only tolerates it for a week or so at a time.

Re: girls with curly hair please help...
I don't have curly hair but there are a lot of Ouidad products that I like and I'm on their mailing list. Anyways, I got an email about this today and thought it looked interesting:
