I'm cleaning my spare bedroom and all this clutter is depressing me

I am trying to get our spare bedroom in order to prepare it for the baby's room.
It's so depressing, there is all this junk that I don't need or want in there. And I hate to put it in my basement or attic when I KNOW I won't use it. Plus we plan on moving so I hate to keep junk that will come on a move with me that I don't want!

I am going to try to do a yard sale or otherwise I will have to donate it. I hate throwing out perfectly good stuff but it's all stuff I don't need/won't use. I wish I would have done this selling and/or donating of stuff sooner. Now probably isn't the best time to go through all the stuff in my house, is it?

Anyone know anywhere I can donate all this stuff (from curtains, to toys, etc)?

You can bring the stuff to Goodwill or St. Vincent de Paul. My local church takes donations of things and they do their own "garage" sale.

You can also check the phone book for organizations...some places will even come pick the stuff up from the house.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just hate to throw out perfectly good stuff. I actually just found a flyer for Big Brother/Sisters and it seems they will take all this stuff.

I will aim for the yard sale if not, then I will donate for sure. I just can't keep this stuff. It depresses me when I think of or look at clutter!
