+ OPK Question
I know this has been asked PLENTY of times before....BUT when you get a + OPK, when will you O after that?
Note: DH and I are NOT TTC right now because we want to wait, so we are just going by those to "avoid" that time. But somehow I think I might have screwed it up....

OPKs are not a good way to prevent pregnancy IMO.
You are likely to ovulate the day after your +OPK or the day following that.
The reason they are not a good way to prevent getting PG is that essentially in the right environment, sperm can live for up to 5 days - WAY before you would get your +OPK. Even three days before you ovulate, the sperm can still live and you can get pregnant.

Re: + OPK Question
Just a word of warning, OPKs aren't all that useful for avoiding pregnancy. Since sperm can survive 72 hours (maybe more) & a postive OPK only tells you that you will O in about 12-36 hours, you could get pregnant from sex a couple of days before the +OPK.

Re: + OPK Question
In all honesty - I know it's not the BEST way to go about it. Usually we steer clear of "finishing" over a pd of about 10 days when I know approx when I will O. This month I didn't pay attention and it was a GOOD night.
Guess I will just wait to see.
+OPK on CD14, now on CD25...
