I buy all his clothes and tell him what goes with what. He'd be lost without me!

He does fine all by himself.

He'll ask how he looks, but it's all his choices.

My only contribution to him getting dressed is ironing his clothes.

Couldnt havve said it better lol

When DH gets "dressed", he does a fabulous job all on his own. He's very aware from cuts to fabrics and has taught me a thing or two. He has all his button downs (dress & casual) custom made, along with some of his suits and coats. The rest of his pants & jackets are tailored to him. As for ties, it's Brioni, Hermes, Ferragamo, Canali and Zegna. And he's picky as all hell about his cufflinks.

When he's casual, he's pretty basic: jeans with a t-shirt or polo tucked in and a belt.

Well, your DH is better than me with fashion, that's for sure. My husband recently had to visit a very high end men's store for his job, and he was trying to remember the brand names he saw there ..stuff we've both never heard of. I bet some of the ones you mentioned were there..I've only ever heard of Ferragamo and Hermes Chat Icon I'm going to show him your post!

Brioni makes NICE stuff. Their fabrics are amazing. DH has used them for his suits. He buys mostly Canali dress slacks & jackets and has them tailored (Brioni is usually double the price of Canali.) Brioni & Canali are nice b/c they're pretty classic when it comes to their cuts. (Like me, my DH doesn't have a body meant for trends. Chat Icon )

My DH does very well on his own. Sometimes he'll ask me which tie to wear or something, but he always looks nice.

Honestly, he should probably be dressing ME!

DH does fine on his own - I do buy most of his stuff, but I know what he likes and what his style is - He won't wear something he doesn't like just b/c I put it in his closet -

Same here.

LOL

I know he said he saw a "regular polo shirt" for $400...does that sound like it could be one of those brands?

whoops..hit submit too early..

It's cool that you're DH is so fashion aware. Mine is a big patron of Old Navy and Kohls..but he looks good so I'm not complaining! Chat Icon

A $400 polo could be by a bunch of men's designers. Were you shopping at a store on LI?

DH won't dare drop $400 on a regular polo. He even cringes when he buys his dress pants & jackets. Chat Icon

DH's casual clothes are real casual: Gap, Duluth Trading and Cabelas. Chat Icon

My Dh has a lot of great qualities but, "fabric smarts" he ain't got. Chat Icon
He has custom suits with 4-5 ties that go with each. He will not intermix the ties for fear of getting it wrong. Think high end garanimals. Chat Icon Chat Icon

His business casual clothing and regular casual clothing, I buy. He looks great in clothes but, has absolutely no interest whatsoever. He is also a fan of the $15 haircut, he explains to me that I wouldn't want to be married to a man that needs a $60 hair cut (even though I'm willing to give it a shot Chat Icon ) So at then end of the day, he will never be accused of being a metrosexual.

Re: do you dress your dh or does he do well for himself?

Jake has his own style

he came to my office today and my friend said he looked like Joquain Phoneix in walk the line

he def had an urban cowboy thing going on

that's his friday look

monday - thursday - he wears a suit, bright funky shirt and tie

he has gotten better over the years- but I don't try to dress him- he does ok alone

but I often wonder what the dry cleaner thinks when I bring in 10 pink, purple, lime green dress shirts in size XXL
