Cribs (Sorry re-post)
Sorry, can't seem to find my other post.
Anyway, I was shopping for cribs and me and the DH settled on the crib that doesn't have the side rail that goes up and down. We like the one that stays stable but the mattress is lower. Is there a big difference in buying the crib with the side rail that moves compared to the side rail that stays in place?

Re: Cribs (Sorry re-post)
it depends on your height! for us (I'm 5'9" and DH is 6'3") we prefer a fixed side.... shorter parents usually prefer a side that can go down.
Our crib has an adjustable height for the mattress.... I presumed all did It can be high early on when the baby cant climb or stand, and can be lowered as they grow, so they can't climb out of the crib.
I know one thing about moving side rails... definitely test them out and make sure they are easy to move up and down. some aren't. preferably it should be a one handed thing, so you can hold baby and still lower the rail.

Re: Cribs (Sorry re-post)
Yeah good point, but when you release the side for the ones that go down they are the same height as the stable side. I don't get it...lol
So, I guess there isn't a big difference. Thanks for the reply!
