Spinoff to Furniture timing

when did you all order your furniture and on average, when did everything come in. I'm such a pyscho planner, I was originally thinking of ordering the set around 6 mos preggos, but now, I'm scared. I do want everything ready to go before the baby comes. Thanks

I had ordered our furniture last Sept/October (2007) and it only arrived in the middle of April. after harrassing them for it.

We have all our pieces. They told us it would take 7 - 14 days and the pieces came a lot sooner. The changing table is in the nursery already (it was already put together), the crib is still in its box and DH has to put it together, and the armoire is being moved into the nursery this weekend. Right now it's in my front living room (it was already put together). The glidder was ordered in May and we were told 10 - 12 weeks for it (we customized it) and so far it hasn't arrived.

We ordered everything the third weekend of May when i was about 21 weeks. We already have the dressers, now we are just waiting on the crib, which will hopefully be in by the end of this month. I'd rather have the furniture a little early (if you have the room for it) than be worried towards the end.

I have a question-kind of off subject a little- how much is it to get the frniture delivered? We always just got it ourselves when it arrived at the store.

i won't be ordering it until next week - i will be 33 weeks. i am not as worried as i should be

ETA: according to the BRU website the items usually are shipped in 2-7 days so i figure i have a little time.

We ordered everything when I was 22 weeks. It took 2 weeks to come in from BRU. We had it delivered its cost 100.00 (i think). My DH put everything together.

Im sure you just saw my rant

I know a friend who ordered the same set I did and BBB told her 16 weeks!! (the factory is overseas)

I ordered from Bellini and it came in 10 days later, we were shocked because we were going to order a set from Behrs and they told us 3-4 months for the set we liked.

I ordered two pieces from BBB and they came in two weeks.

For DS, I ordered it in February (was due in June) and not everything came in before he was born. They gave me loaner pieces and the rest came in about 2 weeks after we were home.

I bought from Behr's....worst experience ever!

I went to BBB. I ordered it around 6 months and it came in in 6 weeks even though they said 8-12. They are holding it for me now until I am ready.
