BDTD with 2 or more a question (long)
DH and I have been crunching the numbers and there is no way in heaven or earth that we can afford to have 2 kids in daycare. DC #1 will be in a toddler room, which is slightly lower in cost, but then DC#2 will need to go into an infant room at about 12 weeks old. This is going to cost almost all of my salary, and once I pay for my benefits I will probably owe my job money.
When/how/what did you do to determine when it was not financially feasible to go back to work f/t? For those that went part time, what industry do you work in and were you able to find p/t in your field?
I know this is a lot to think about. DH & I have already resolved to save all of my salary until I go out on maternity to pay for a lot of the nb stuff we are going to need, but I know if it lasts a year we are lucky.
TIA, I know this is a lot and it is not a light topic.
