What do you think of round cribs?
I wasn't liking them at first, but they are kind of growing on me. DH still prefers the traditional.

I think it would be too hard to find bedding that I loved (especially if you plan on re-using it) and finding good deals on sheet and mattress pads.

I think they are beautiful. But.... my DD was more than happy to sleep in her crib well past 2 years old. I would be afraid that an older baby would be to long for a round crib.

They waste a LOT of floor space and it is hard to buy linens for them. I think they are a novelty but not practical.

i agree.. i think they are gorgeous to look at but long term not feasible nor economical.. extra on the matterss, extra on the linens, not usable for very long, can't convert into toddler bed or full sized bed..
but i must stress again..GORGEOUS to look at..

There was one at BBB that was a round bassinet that got bigger and converted into a crib but it was like $900!!  Too pricy for me and again, we have a major space issue so we need something that is alot more compact.

to be honest, i never thought of getting a crib that would convert into a bed because i figured baby #2 would use the crib
i'd rather buy a bed that will last than buy another crib
and i do like the round cribs and i have seen the bedding in several stores
