TMI Question but need help
I noticed that my dog has diahrea the passed few days. I stopped feeding her her food and gave her rice and pepto. She seemed to be okay but then she pooped out a dark yellow poop at night. In the mornings its diahrea but at night its a yellow poop and in all her poop you could see the rice. I called the vet and she hasnt called me back.
She isnt an outside dog so I dont know how she could of caught anything. She only goes on walks once and a while and she goes to the groomer. Shes a tiny dog.
I am calling the vet again tomorrow, I am thinking of dropping off the poop on her doorstep (shes a private vet).
Sorry for the TMI... I know its gross. Shes acting FINE though.
Do you know what this could be?

Call the vet! Do not give her Pepto , I am not sure if it is okay, it has aspirin in it , and I am not sure if it is okay for a dog. When I had a dog we gave her kaopecte when she had a bad tummy. Hope she feels better.

Re: TMI Question but need help
Don't give her pepto. My dog had serious diareha once and we were told to give her immodium. Not sure how much your little doggie would need though but don't give her anything until you talk to your vet.
The best things to feed a dog with an upset stomach are rice and boiled chicken.
The problem could be a number of things. Best bet is to get a stool sample done and work from there. Even if your dog only goes outside on a limited basis, she could have picked up anything.
Hailey had stomach problems for weeks and we were at our wits end trying to figure out what it was. We finally discovered it was the cleaning products we were using on ou floors!!!! We had just ripped up our rugs and put in pergo and the cleaners we used were making her sick!

I agree. I don't think dogs can have pepto. Please never give a dog anything without clearning it with a vet, esp dosage if a med is ok. Dogs are not humans, this could be very dangerous.
Hope your dog is ok, go to the vet.
