16 week appointmet--kinda pisssed

So I went to my 16 week appointment today. He listened to the heart and gave me a referral for the anatomy ultrasound. When I asked him about the first trimester screening results, he looked puzzled, looked through my chart and then ASKED me if I had to get the second part today...I was like...ummm...I don't know, what about the first part where they take blood from your finger...then he keeps looking at my chart and he tells me that the lab NEVER SENT THE RESULTS!!!!!! So here I am, 16 weeks pregnant, have no idea about my 1st trimester screening, and when I went to make my 20 week appointment, the receptionist tells me that I can see him in 6-7 weeks because he is going on vacation. That's fine, I understand he needs vacation too, but I really felt that he was rushing me out today and has no idea about what's going on with my pregnancy. I don't even know what to do about the results now-should I call the place I took the test? Should I keep calling the DR.? So pisssed...

I'd be ****** too. The doc should have had someone call the lab right then and there and have them fax over the results. That is totally unacceptable. I would call the office tomorrow and ask them to track them down - it's not your responsibility. We have enough stress being pregnant, getting your results shouldn't be one of the additional worries.

Did you get the second part of the bloodwork done today (AFP or quadscreen)? That should really be done between 16-18 weeks so I wouldn't wait til your next appt.

Yeah, I had the 2nd part of the bloodwork done and I heard him telling the nurse to get the results faxed over, but I just don't trust that he will follow through. I think I am going to call tomorrow and tell them I need it faxed over immediately.
