is when you get you first day of blood. no matter what color it is?

I counted my CD1 even though I spotted all day I needed a tampon.

If you needed a tampon, then I wouldn't consider that spotting.

I say CD 1 is the first day of full red flow.

Some people have a lighter 1st day then a heavier 2nd day. If that's you, then still count that first day as CD 1 as long as its not JUST spotting here and there.
