i fell in love today and 2 grand is a bit much.

yes, im not buying from there though...id go there to play with some of the dogs.
Just a word of advice, better off to stay out of the pet store, there is nothing good about them and you will fall into the trap of falling in love with a puppy, and dropping way too much on a puppy mill dog. You can go to a shelter and play with the dogs there!

You could volunteer in a shelter. THey love for people to come and play with dogs.

so i went and called a breeder and their price was $3000!! i just don't get it.
ill be better off playing with puppies who need homes until they find a loving owner..

I don't even want to go into the whole Puppy Mill/ Pet Store thing.
I can only say, please don't buy that puppy...all you do is give the pet store and puppy mills a reason to replace it.
Take a look at Robynfs' post re: puppymill rescue.
Check the AKC website for recommended Bulldog breeders or look on Petfinders...
or as someone else said - volunteer to play with the puppies at a shelter and fall in love with a needy pup....

i agree with everyones posts here but please keep in mind bulldogs are EXTREMELY expensive. i wanted one years ago and the prices turned me off. im getting one soon but they are very

Bullys are great! but totally expensive and have a lot of health issues-- if you are really interested, I can recommend the bulldog rescue that I got Sarge from.

id love some of the info on breeders and rescues you know about.

We used a bully rescue in NJ but the Long Island Bulldog Rescue is a good place to start.
Bulldogs are expensive from breeders because they require a c-section birth. They have health problems - mine is a perfect example - especially with breathing.
They require a lot of care in terms of grooming (things get stuck in the folds) but they are great dogs.

We have two french bulldogs!! They are just as expensive but have less health problems than the English Bulldogs!! I have our breeder information (he is in NC) but they are great dogs!! Love my babies!! Image Attachment(s):
