Just a changing tray?
where would I find one?
I read in Fit Pregnancy that just getting the tray and the pad, and putting it on top of an existing piece of furniture is an alternative to getting a whole changing table.
I just looked at PB Kids, BBB and BRU-- and didn't see anythng
Has anyone found one or have an idea of where else I can look? I just want to see dimensions to see if this could work for us.

Re: Just a changing tray?
do you really need a tray? When i had a changing table it didnt have anything on top that was different than a normal dresser. The changing pad itself has a stickylike grib material on the bottom that kept it in place.

yeah, this is what i've seen as well - if you use a regular dresser, I've just seen it with the pad on top

hmm. i've never seen that part sold separately. If a changing table or changing dresser is not used, I've only ever seen the pad placed on top

i have a regular dresser that was mine and put the changing pad right on it. no tray needed. it has a grippy bottom and a strap to secure it in place

You don't need a tray, just plop the pad onto a dresser!

Re: Just a changing tray?
I think it depends on your furniture but I have seen the trays, I ordered my furniture yest from CSN Baby. By the way DaVinci is having a big sale on their site and its free shipping. I got a 4 in 1 crib and dresser/changer combo for around 750.

Re: Just a changing tray?
I know exactly what you mean! We are buying this set from Restoration Hardware Baby and we are buying the dresser that has an attachment to make the top a changing table as well...when we don't need that anymore, we just take the attatchment off. See pic:

Thanks! Looks like Restoration sells the "topper" separately. Unfortunately everthing looks to be in either white or espresso, and I am looking for a blond wood color--- I can get away with white though.
I like the idea of having the tray, because I have a long dresser, so the tray will help to "designate" the space.

Re: Just a changing tray?
I am getting the changing station piece with my dresser. You can buy them but you have to order it like any other furniture, it's usually sold as part of a matching furniture set. Mine cost about $160.

Re: Just a changing tray?
They do sell them at BBB. We asked, and found a few becasue they look like part of the furniture. But some of them are sold separately.

Re: Just a changing tray?
We did this for my DC. I got just the changing pad and it attached to the back of the dresser I already had with screws. You don't need a "tray" really since the pad had raised sides. We've used it for many months with no problems.
