Crib Selection. HELP!!!!
How did you choose? I am having the HARDEST time.. and with only 7 weeks left till baby comes, we're seriously entering crunch time..
I have the baby bargains book, i have the parents.com website, I have consumer reports.. and every time I think i've picked a crib I read a review somewhere and I change my mind.. So far I've found..
davinci- paint chips, baby arms get stuck graco-dropside gets stuck delta-recalls simplicity-recalls Jcpenney-slow shipping behr's-slow shipping martine- arms get stuck between slacks
DOES the PERFECT CRIB EXIST?

Re: Crib Selection. HELP!!!!
if it helps, we got a babi italia one- and i really didnt find any negative reviews- just that they can be pricey- but it was a gift from mom... you just have to find what works for you... every product is going to have its pluses and minuses...

Re: Crib Selection. HELP!!!!
I used the Baby Bargains books along with going online and doing some research. We settled on the Stanley Furniture/Young America line. We're getting the "Serenity" set in Cinnamon color. The crib is called "Built to Grow" so it converts from a crib to a toddler bed to a day bed to a full size bed with headboard and footboard. It's beautiful They have some nice collections, you should take a look on their website. I know you can purchase their furniture through Buy Buy Baby but we're lucky to have a friend who has a Direct Buy membership so she is ordering it for us through them so we're saving a lot of $$$$.

Re: Crib Selection. HELP!!!!
We have a Jardine crib from BRU, and it is pretty awesome. My DS even tried to bite the rail with his teeth, and the paint didn't chip off. You can see where he did it, but it didn't take the paint off, its just lighter in the spots he did it. It still looks great and has survived 2 babies so far!

Re: Crib Selection. HELP!!!!
I had gotten the wendy bellismo crib.. and ughhhh recalled for parts.. told them i wanted a brand new crib.. so they did.. and that broke in a different spot.. NIGHTMARE!! I returned to BRU and spoke with a manager who told me not to ever buy anything by wendy bellismo.. she felt all there products were poorly manufactured. Plus i noticed another crib of theres has another recall.... So dont buy that brand!!
The manager told us Baby Italia was a great crib.. we bought one and its great, built solid!
