Hi Everyone!!!! My first post
Hi ladies,
This is my first post on LIF...I'm an LIWer but DH and I just found out I'm pregnant!!!! I'm only 6 weeks right now (just today) so I'm still not "out" at all, you ladies are actually the first to know so I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you as I'm sure I'll need the support and I can't wait to soak up tons of info.
I hope it's ok, but I wanted to start out with a concern and I'm hoping that you guys can ease my fears. I've pretty much done EVERYTHING you're not supposed to do when pregnant in the last 6 weeks because I had no idea. We just got married and while we weren't exactly trying, we weren't being careful either, I actually just stopped taking the pill so we did it one shot I guess. So this was a very happy surprise.
But, in the last 5 weeks I've drank, dyed my hair, went on a week-long goat cheese salad binge, had sushi (only twice I think), drank lots of coffee and I'm sure taken excedrin and advils......should I be worried? My first dr. appt is not until next thursday....

Welcome and congrats!! I wouldn't worry, I did all of that stuff before getting pregnant too, I just stopped as soon as I found out. I actually had sushi for luch the day I tested. Good luck!!

Congrats and happy and healthy 9 months! I wouldn't worry! You can discuss everything with your doctor next week.
I would just make sure to start taking prenatals/extra folic acid in the meantime until your doctor gives you samples at your appt.

Thanks everyone!!
At my last annual a few months ago, which was a month before the wedding, I told my gyn that were going off the pill afterwards so she gave me prenatal samples, so I started taking those on Saturday, after I took 3 tests and they were all positive. I know, a bit much but I had to be sure. 
I'm just scared that I could have done something, but I guess i'm getting ahead of myself. I'm nervous by nature so this is going to be a quite a ride. I can't wait till next week.

congrats!!! you are most likely 100% fine - you and the baby don't start sharing a blood supply until about 6 weeks, so if you stop doing all those things, then you are totally in the clear 
one thing that i didn't know that i wish someone had told me - if you have a headache or need to take a painkiller, tylenol ONLY - advil is very bad to take during pregnancy.

Youll be fine
I drank and cleaned out my home with some seriously strong cleaners and had sushi (still do)
My doc said the first 7weeks we dont share blood so it's ok, but to stop the alcohol as quickly as possible, drink more fluids and take my vitamins.
Just be good going forward.

Congrats! Welcome, we are due around the same time- a week apart probably!
Stop doing all the bad things. I have cut my coffee to half a cup of caffeine a day.
hopefully by next week I will be fully off the caffeine.

Thanks! I have def. stopped, trust me. Now I'm afraid to eat anything.  Actually, to be honest, I don't have much of an appetite at all, is this normal.....everything I look at I'm like, yuck, I can't eat that. But I'm not nauseous or anything.....
