Re: PPD

You are going through the all emotions of a tragedy like the one you just experienced. You certainly can't be expected to bounce back. You so unfaily lost the baby pretty late, which makes the whole thing even tougher to bare. Don't be so hard on yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

My best friend suffered a m/c, and she was a different person for a while until she went through the mourning process. It was a terrible time for them, but she got PG quickly, and they are now the proud parents of a 3 year old boy and 1 yeard old daughter.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Re: PPD

It's very possible. I had it as well after a miscarriage. My DH wanted to wait to TTC which made it a lot worse and almost ruined my marriage. I got in counseling and I even took some anti-depressants for about 4 months. I took the time to grieve and heal from the loss and now we are pregnant again and getting along better than before. It is completely understandable but should not be ignored. Maybe you could talk to someone to get out your feelings. I wish you the best. If you ever need to talk feel free to FM me. Re: PPD

I think it actually is harder a few weeks after the miscarriage. I thought I was fine right after the D&C- very practical and pragmatic- these things happen kind of attitude. I was trying to be strong for DH but it kind of back-fired on me.

But then it got worse- I started crying for no reason, my DH thought I was crazy since I was acting fine when it happened, my SIL found out she was pregnant, it was just awful. I didn't think anyone understood- my DH got so mad at me and just wanted me to snap out of it.

Hang in there- you are not alone. It just feels that way right now. Chat Icon
