Advice Please - What would you do?
I am feeling so guilty. Last night my son was hungry and wanted a sandwich. Got him a sandwich and I thought I handed the girl a $20. She gave me change of a $10 and I said, no I gave you a $20. She apologized and gave me the right change. All I had in my wallet was a $20 and a $10. This morning when I went to get breakfast, I find only the $20 which means I did give the girl a $10. Would you go back and say something? I feel bad because the girl was a young girl maybe high school or so. I don't want her to get into trouble for having a short draw, know what i mean? HELP! I feel awful but I could have sworn up and down I had handed her the $20

I'd say the right thing to do is go back to the store and explain what happened.
Would I go and do that? Probably not. I'd feel like an azz.
I know it's not the PC response, but I'm being honest.

Re: Advice Please - What would you do?
Honestly, I would. Typically if something rings up the wrong price at a store I won't say anything because it rang up wrong. If someone gives me the wrong change, I will say something since their drawer will be short and they will responsible for it!

Re: Advice Please - What would you do?
I would go back. I have done it plenty of times for items I accidently forgot to pay for, or was given the wrong change. It's the right thing to do.

I would go back in that instance - it was my mistake, not hers.
