Dangle it in front and me and then take it back!

I was told on Friday that I was good to go for IUI. Got my meds, went in for CD3 bloodwork and ultrasound this morning. Get a call from the doctor this afternoon, oops we forgot to look at your DH's morphology it's too low...so IUI probably won't work for you. But if you want to try a cycle, it's up to you. All aboard the rollercoaster!!!!!!!!!

Jen - Did they tell you what the Morphology was? My DH's is low too, but they let us go ahead with the IUI's. I say, if your insurance is going to pay for it, do it... it can't hurt right, and you never know! You'll produce more follies with the injectibles, so it gives more targets for the sperm.

I wanted to offer you some We are going to see a RE on Friday & we are dealing with low morphology also (2%) we are going to insist on at least one or two IUI cycles since we have no IVF coverage. We would rather try the lesser of the two & see. So many ladies on here dealing with MF morphology problems have gotten PG!!!

Remember, with the wash, all they need is one to get to his/her destination

First off morphology can change. My DH's was 3% on first SA and now it's much better (I wrote it down somewhere, but it was way out of range and normal) on 2nd SA with different lab and RE. Though we did 6 IUI and it didn't work. But I think its due to my age (40) and poor egg quality, not this. IUI is much cheaper out of pocket, but you have to make that decision. I guess they want you to go the IVF route. But, what if one time you did IUI and it worked. Its so much easier all around. Good luck with your decision.

When I came home from work, DH and I talked about it and decided to do this IUI cycle. We'll never know unless we do it.

Morphology isn't as important if he has a high # of them. DHs morphology is 3% (or was when he got his SA anyway) and they told us that was fine since it's such a concentrated sample that goes in---- so you get the best of the bunch.
This dr just told me the same thing for IVF, only he said we're going to do 1/2 using ICSI and 1/2 the regular way- just to make sure I have embryos fertilize.
