I need help with an invitaion

Hi ..How would I word this...I'm having my sons christning on one day and a party at a later date...how should I word it on the invitation! Because he will already have been christned by the time of the party. TIA

are you inviting everyone to both the ceremony and the party?

if not -- i would tell those you are inviting to both by word of mouth about the ceremony and just put the party info on the invite likie "come join us to celebrate the christening of XXX"

if you want both I would put the christening info:

Please join us for the christening of XXX (details below)

and then I'd skip a line and say something like:

A party in celebration of the occassion will be held on XXXX

We did this for our DS. I can't find the invite but I think it was worded like this...
Mr and Mrs.........are proud to annouce the celebration of the baptism of their child......on........
Reception to follow on..........
