We still celebrate when we first met (will be 9 years in October) and when we became a couple (7 years on Tuesday). But I use the term celebrate loosely. It's really just an excuse to reminisce and sometimes go to dinner. They are too many bad things in life to not remember the special days. At least IMO

Well we met on Kevin's first day of work, which is the day after his b-day. So we celebrate his b-day and then the next day we'll mention it to one another, say "aww" and kiss but that's about it.
Then we only had one anniversary of our first date before we were married, so we went out to dinner at the same place. That was it, no gifts, no big elaborate celebration. Now we'll mention it to each other, say "aww" and kiss, but we don't celebrate it.
We do celebrate our wedding anniversary, that's bigger to us bc that's when we became one, when we became a family, and made our union "officially official".
