IF drugs and your tummy
Ladies taking these meds..do they hurt your belly?
I'm just tryng to get info about it in case I am faced with that decision. I have Crohns and have issues with that already.
Any info is much appreciated.

Only metformin. I haven't had stomach issues with clomid.
I did get a little constipated on progesterone, but metformin is really bad on your tummy.

No stomach problems for me on Clomid, Ovidrel, Follistim, or Crinone. HTH!

only problem for me was the metforimin, but not everyone going through fertility treatments take metformin. From your posts, it doesn't seem like you would need to be on met.

I guess we'll see for sure but I thought I would arm myself with info in light of my RE appt. I need to be very sure about what I take due to the Crohns Disease. After I get pregnant, I will need a high risk OB that deals with Crohns. I know lots of people with Crohns have babies and this won't be new to the doctors, but I always feel that I have to advocate for myself.
What does metformin do?

I never had a problem with clomid, gonal-f, menopur, anti-biotic (can't think of the long name) or the steroid. Based on PP, I wonder if Progesterone gave me problems. I suffer from IBS and the weeks I was on progesterone I had some upset stomachs and couldn't figure out why.
There must be someone out there maybe on another board that can give you some advice. If no one here has the same. You certainly are not the first.

Metformin is prescribed for ladies with PCOS. If you don't have it, you won't have to take it. I've had no stomach problems with Clomid, Gonal F or Ovidrel. Good luck!
