I made up my mind
No Clomid this cycle.
I know my body - I've always, ALWAYS had funky reactions to medication, and that's why I'm on the naturalist side of the spectrum. It's time to trust my instincts on this one too.
I'm taking a month off from this insane medication madness, and going back to the unmedicated IUI's for this month.
Next month I'll try a bigger dosage of Clomid. If that doesn't work, I'll take another break with a natural IUI before jumping into injectables.

Beth - I was kind of hoping this would be the approach you took this cycle! I honestly feel if your only issue is hostile cm, then a natural IUI should work for you!

Yeah, I think the feeling of urgency and panic over having a baby RIGHT NOW was taking precedence in my mind over common sense. I need to take a step back and slooooooooooooow down when it comes to subjecting my body to medications that will disrupt everything.

Trust your instincts and you can never go wrong. Best of luck this cycle. Just of of curiosity, does your doc track your ovulation with sono and blood during a natural IUI cycle? Since you had such a strange response to Clomid, it might be a good idea to track a natural cycle that way. Just an idea. HTH!

Yes, she's pretty aggresive, even when I wasn't doing the IUI's - I was coming in at least once a week for bloodwork and ultrasounds, which all showed that everything was totally regular and predictable, UNTIL the Clomid 
She's still befuddled by it, and admittedly was slightly disappointed because she was fascinated to see what would happen next time with a higher dose
