wish us luck...Update on bottom.
My Dh and I and my aunt are going to catch a super early train tommorow and try to get a seat on steet to see the pope ride by on 5th ave. in his popemobile. We plan to get to the city at about 9:30. Do you think that is okay? He is scheduled to drive by at about 1:15.
Also do you think we could be bring small camping chairs.. My aunt and I said say "heck yeah, that is too long to sit on the sidewalk".. My dh is refusing.
I think he is nuts.

really....Ugh.. Maybe we will take an 8am train and try to get there by 9..There is like over 20 blocks to stand on so I am hoping I can find a spot somewhere. I am only 5ft tall so if I can't see I am going home. I hate being so short. We could really use a papal blessing with all the stuff that has been going on for us this year!!!

You probably won't be able to see him unless you're in a building about 8-10 stories up. The blockades of security will get in your way, especially since your little - sorry.
As for the chairs, I might bring them, but be prepared to hold them when it gets tight. I know I wouldn't be happy if I was trying to get a view and someone was sitting on a chair in front of me.

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in my original post. I posted that on Friday morning about going into the city for Satruday.
Okay.. So we are going tommorow. We are taking a 5:50 train to get in by 6:30. Then we are heading over to get a spot to sit for the parade at 1:30. The website for St. Pats said that this was the best day to get a view of him. He will driving down the street in the popemobile and they have set up the street so that you can stand behind the police baracades just like a parade. I think at least.
